Illuminating the Year: medieval calendar lore re-imagined

The medieval Christian calendar combined agricultural labours, saints’ legends and the Zodiac to create a story- and marvel-rich view of the passing year. Responding to the collaborative workshop practices of medieval artists, illustrators Hebe George, Louise Boulter and Polly Alizarin Harvey have worked together and with author Amy Jeffs to create a mesmerising cycle of images and words, bringing to the familiar wheeling of the seasons a delightful wealth of strangeness.

You can purchase Louise’s prints as part of the collaboration from her shop. Alongside viewing the exhibition which is currently taking place in the Corinium Museum in Cirencester.
